Saffron FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How much saffron do I use?
For most home dishes, 8–15 threads is plenty. Bloom in 2 tablespoons of warm (not boiling) water for 15 minutes before adding to your dish — this unlocks color and aroma the threads alone can't deliver.
How long will one jar last?
For typical home cooking, 1 gram lasts most households several weeks. The 2-gram jar is our best-seller for active cooks.
Is your saffron threads or powder?
Whole Super Negin grade threads only. We never sell powder — it's the easiest place for cheaper substitutes to hide.
Where does Raihan saffron come from?
Herat, Afghanistan. Hand-picked at dawn each October, air-dried at low temperature, and packed by us in Lynn, Massachusetts.
Do you ship across the U.S.?
Yes — tracked delivery nationwide. Complimentary shipping on orders $75+.
What is your return policy?
30 days, no questions asked. If you're not satisfied, contact us and we'll make it right.
How should I store saffron?
Keep it in the original tin, away from light, heat, and humidity. Stored properly, saffron retains color and aroma for 2–3 years.
What grade is your saffron?
Super Negin — the highest grade, with the longest, deepest-red threads and the strongest color, aroma, and flavor.
